  6. What are you doing on Friday, Dec. 3rd? Come out to Cessna Stadium at WSU and do some stair stepping and walking around the track with me. I'm going to do my personal best of a goal of 11,600 stair steps equivalent of a 725 story building. I'll be out there from about 9:30 am to about 3:30 pm. Come and cheer me on..I'd enjoy having you.

  8. Well, I did it... I met my stair stepping goal of 14,500 stair steps and 4 miles today at Cessna Stadium...equivalent of a 906 story building. Ahead of schedule two weeks!! The angels were with me, beautiful day and I had good energy. A friend, Bob Liebl stair stepped with me for 3 hours. I appreciated the company and the "lets go girl".. It took me about 6 hours with 3 restroom breaks and 8 bottles of water. Now I can go hiking, do 2-3 hours of stair stepping once a week, my usual Y work outs... that will be fun.. I'm ready for Mt. Kili....

  12. Wow, Alexandria Country Day School has really gone all out for the Missions in Africa. Great going! I'm continuing my maintenance training with outdoor stadium stair stepping, (about 5,800 steps, equivalent of a 362 story building) walking the stadium benches which is like doing "lunges". There are 75 benches going up. When I do the benches going up I just take the stairs coming down, it is very hard on the knees to walk the benches down. And then at least 3-4 miles around the track. Christmas is just around the corner so I will need to be vigilant and keep up the training.

  13. Diane,
What a thrill to see our students from Alexandria Country Day School on the homepage of your blog site! Can't wait for them to see the pics as well. In a few days you should receive our donation in the mail. We were inspired by you and had great fun raising the money. I hope that other schools are inspired to do the same and beyond. Now, go out there and train, train, train. We are behind you to the max. You can do it!!

    Love and strength,
